world of warcraft is a game where you pick a race a class and a faction you start at level 1 and you have to do quest to the highest level and moving to different places to get to a level and eventually when you hit the level cap you can do raids where you have a group of people who have to fight through a lot of higher level enemy's until you reach the boss there is also dungeons which you can start at level 15 which is the same as a raid but smaller and there is a lot less people if you do not want to fight computers there is a player vs player system where you have 2v2 3v3 or 4v4 where you have to work as a team to defeat the other group.
Star Wars The Old Republic is a mmo game based on the star wars films where you play as either a Jedi or Sith and you have to train to become a Jedi master or a Sith lord by working for your 'master' eventually you become a Sith lord and then you have to fight people who chose Jedi.
DC Universe Online
In DC Universe Online you make your own superhero deciding things like height hair and weapons and powers then you choose to be good or bad then you get to choose who you want to be mentored by depending on if you're good or bad then you do task for your mentor and fight the other heros/villians and you get better as you progress
